Job Responsibilities
The responsibilities of Senior Engineer - Projects will include but are not limited to the following: 
  • Formulate and carry out all tasks needed to ensure the successful execution of assigned projects on time, within budget and with due regard to HSES and quality.
  • Prepare Project Execution Plans (PEP's), determine, and carry out contract strategies required for engineering, procurement, fabrication, transportation, installation and hook up and commissioning.
  • Preparation of PEP's and execution thereof are to adhere to the Company project management system - the Asset Development System (ADS) which uses the concept of stage-gate reviews and formal, systematic approvals.
  • Identify needs and assemble own PMT to successfully manage and execute assigned Projects on a matrix basis making appropriate use of support groups available within Facilities. Where shortfalls exist, these are to be identified and corrective actions proposed.
  • Establish budgets for assigned projects and raise corresponding Approval-For-Expenditure Requests (AFE's), and monitor the same.
  • Establish individual project specific schedules and cost control procedures and monitor the same.
  • Carry out schedule and cost risk assessments on assigned projects and regularly review and update same. Establish a risk register and develop mitigation plans for all major identified risks.
  • Ensure engineering design of projects adequately accommodates for Production requirements in terms of operability and obtain Production acceptance of same.
  • Coordinate all construction activities including offshore installation and hook up and commissioning.
  • Liaise closely with Production department on all aspects of the offshore execution including Permits to Work, shutdowns, and work coordination to ensure that the Projects are completed and formally handed over on schedule.
  • Provide project engineering support to Facilities Central Engineering in the preparation of Front End Engineering (PIN, Conceptual Engineering, and Field Development Planning).
  • Provide input to Technical Work Programmes and annual budgets as part of the annual business cycle.
  • Provide monthly reports both on an overall consolidated project portfolio and individual project basis in accordance with Facilities reporting requirements.
  • Prepare Project close out and "lessons learnt" reports for each project upon completion
  • Accountable for the execution of assigned projects typically ranging from $US 10 - 100 million.
  • Responsible for engineering/construction contracts ranging from $US 50,000 upwards
Requirements
  • Degree in an engineering or relevant technical discipline
  • Membership of a relevant Professional Institution preferred but not essential.
  • Minimum of 7 years experience in project, engineering and construction management in the upstream oil and gas industry (both onshore and offshore).
  • Previous direct experience in offshore facilities construction work, especially installation of platforms and laying pipelines, as well as working on facilities expansions where simultaneous production and construction operations are required.
  • Previous experience of working in Nigeria is preferred but not essential.
  • Previous experience working internationally is a prerequisite.
  • Managed multidiscipline teams of diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Computer literate (including sound working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MSProject ).
  • Ability to deliver quality projects safely with due regard to the environment, on time and within budget.
  • Good understanding of Project Management systems and the application thereof.
  • Ability to work under pressure against tight deadlines whilst maintaining a high standard of consistency, accuracy and quality is essential.
  • Good understanding of the relevant engineering codes and standards.
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with HSES Management systems and the application thereof, in particular HAZOP's and safety cases.
  • Fluent spoken and written English.

Job Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Work Service Supervisor will include but are not limited to the following: 
  • Ensures that the COMPANY's HSE regulations are respected (especially procedures related to Work Permits), as well as approved operating procedures and standard industry practice during performance of operations placed under his responsibility.
  • Organises on site the operations which are placed under his responsibility.
  • Follows-up the day to day activities of the offshore teams; remains available to provide them the assistance and support as needed.
  • Follows-up the technical problems raised, follows-up the technical and contractual files, as instructed, follows up the warranty claims and the implementation of the corrective actions.
  • Assists the planning team by giving any technical support for the preparation of the jobs in his discipline.
  • With his teams, assists all maintenance work activities .
  • Manages all valves interventions using the CMMS and checks intervention reports in the CMMS and writes the technical reports related to his field.
  • Ensure defective PSVs remove from installation are shipped to Onne for repair and re-integration into stock.
  • Ensures that Spare parts are available for current or coming PSV campaign with assistance of Onshore maintenance support team.
  • Follows-up the spare parts and consumables consumption, report anomalies and initiate suitable action in order to prevent shortage.
  • Supervises receipt of materials on a technical point of view.
  • Visit the offshore warehouse regularly and controls materials preservation and storage in warehouses, take action for improvement as needed.
  • Coordinates the transfer to onshore the repairs required to be subcontracted outside.
  • Involves in operational works including routines, overhaul and major shutdowns.
  • Carries out, at the Maintenance Superintendant request, any intervention within his field of competence.
  • Distributes the daily activity to his team as prepared by the planner.
  • Co ordinates all valves and works services activities, Co ordinates these actions with concerned staff.
  • Takes part in different daily, weekly and site co-ordination meetings concerning all valves and works services activities.
Requirements
  • Higher National Diploma or Certificate (HND/HNC (A-levels + 3 years' study) or BTS/DUT or equivalent.
  • 5 to 10 years' experience in the maintenance field on oil and gas production installations.
  • A basic knowledge of the process of oil and gas treatment, installations and a thorough knowledge of the equipment used in oil and gas treatment installations.
  • Good knowledge in management, painting, scaffolding, rigging.
  • Specific professional knowledge: SAP/R3 experience and know-how.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Pride in his work, ability to maintain good relations with colleagues and others.
  • Physical ability to work on offshore installations in the climatic conditions of the site.

 Assist newly•arrived international staff with administrative formalities related to their accreditations, security/ground passes, submission of completed forms and related documents to headquarters, arrange travel and hotel reservations
 Assist with shipment of their personal effects in coordination with the logistics section,
 Administer UNHCR medical insurance plan for the locally recruited staff. Provide administrative support to staff and dependants in case of medical evacuations.
 Maintain personnel records in the office, including maintenance of the attendance. overtime and leave records.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Conduct maintenance planning, pre-Outage, Outage and post-Outage planning activities.

  • Forward and discuss Technical Information Letters (TIL’s) to the customer; plan the agreed upon implementation of any recommendations.
  • Respond to the customer’s technical inquiries utilizing GE Contractual Services (GECS) and Oil & Gas technical support services.
  • Provide information regarding the latest advancement in Conversion, Modification and Upgrades (CM&U) opportunities to the customer and assist with implementations of any recommendations.
  • Work with the customer’s site teams to develop maintenance schedules, which optimize Covered Unit reliability and availability.
  • Maintain a maintenance history for the Covered Units.
  • Take the lead in diagnosis and resolving maintenance or operational problems on the Covered Units with support of customer’s operation & maintenance staff.
  • Perform the on-Site inspection of all Parts (new, used or refurbished) for completeness, correct execution against drawings, damage, etc.
  • Provide on the job training of customer's operation and maintenance staff
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 - 8 years GE (or equivalent) Technical Experience as Field Service Engineer or Technical Advisor.
  • Strong knowledge and hands on experience of GE 6B and 7EA Gas Turbine, Generators and Process Application Axial/Centrifugal Compressors.
  • Ability to interpret P&ID and other equipment drawings
