JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Head of Sales, the ideal candidate will have 2 – 4 years experience in marketing, commerce, business administration with at least eighteen months experience selling in the oil and gas industry. S/he will have good verbal and written communication skills and will be responsible for selling the business products in his assigned segment. S/he would also be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of sales plans, documenting quotes and sales contract reviews with a support responsibility to all functional managers and staff.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for all sales activities
Develop and implement agreed marketing plan(target) which will meet both personal and business goals of expanding customer base
Work within the sales and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long term account goals in line with company vision and values www.nigerianbestforum.com
Responsible for sourcing and developing client relationships and referrals
Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, closed sales, and follow-up activities.
Prepare monthly sales reports and competitors activities.
Assist the departmental Head in the achievement of the company’s goals and objectives
Initiate innovative approaches to selling of petroleum products, coordinate after sales service and develop and nurture excellent rapport or working relationship with the customer
Responsible for gathering competitors prices daily and reporting to line manager.
Maintain strong relationship with customers (Industrial) and build a harmonious working relationship between the company and its customers www.nigerianbestforum.com
Participate in market development and other market penetration activities by identifying areas/markets that are under-developed and which the company can benefit from.
Support the marketing team especially in the area of credit sales collection, while helping to nurture and strengthen existing customer base.
Maintaining customer records, using automated systems.
Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information such as selling strategies and marketing information.
Any other duties as may be assigned.
Responsible for the preparation of periodic activity report.
POSITION MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Candidate must possess a B.Sc degree in any of the following disciplines Business Administration, Marketing, Social Sciences or Good numerate university degree or its equivalent
Between 2-4 years experience in sales marketing and customer relation roles
SKILLS
Sound interpersonal, persuasive and technical skills combined with tact and diplomacy.
Good understanding of market and competition
Ability to manage and prioritize a busy work load.
Must be self motivated, ambitious and a quick learner.
Excellent organization, communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to build and maintain successful relationships in order to increase revenue and develop market share.
Good understanding of the company’s products and services and of the oil and gas industry.
Experience in using IT tools and related software.
