NATIONAL PROJECT COORDINATOR (NPC)
- At least first degree or higher degree in relevant fields of NEWMAP
- Familiarity with public service rules, administrative guidelines, objectives, functions and structure of Government and existing environmental laws and regulatory frameworks in the country and project planning and implementation
- Evidence of cognate experience of at least 25 years with supervisory experience as a coordinator of national erosion projects in the last 10 years
- Ability to carry out coordinated nationwide mobilization and advocacy.
PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST (PS)
- Masters degree in development studies with professional qualification in procurement
- Must have post qualification experience of at least 20 years
- Evidence of procurement practice and work experience on not less than 3 World Bank projects on procurement capacity
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (FMS)
- At least BSC/HND in accounting and MBA will be added advantage
- Must have ICAN certificate or national accountant certified with at least 20 years post qualification experience
- Prove of service delivery on DB and the World Bank projects is a must
MONITORING AND EVALUATION SPECIALIST (MES)
- At least BSC/MSC in social sciences and masters in public administration
- Previous work experience in the planning, research and statistics unit of government establishments
- At least 20 years post qualification experience
- Familiarity with financial management guidelines and IDA procurement and procedures
ENVIRONMENT AND SOCIAL SAFEGUARDS SPECIALIST (ESSP)
- At least BSC/HND in soil and water science and MSC in environmental development planning will be added advantage
- At least 20 years post qualification experience on erosion, flood, watershed, and ecological projects
- Familiarity with financial management guidelines and IDA procurement and procedures
- Prove of service delivery on erosion, flood, ecological projects ADB and World Bank is a must
COMMUNICATION SPECIALIST (CS)
- At least BA in English, MA in mass communication is added advantage
- Must be an accredited member of NUJ
- At least 20 years experience in Government/public relations as information, communication and mobilization officer
- Track record of demonstrable competence on all known communication equipment its usage and application and on like World Bank, FAO multilateral activities is a must
- Ability to communicate fluidly with varying degree of audience and desktop publishing is a must also.
- High degree of competence in report writing, power point presentations and all MS office tools and social media
- Track knowledge of publishing, advertisement and the machinery of IEC strategies
GEOTECHNICAL/CVIL ENGINEERING SPECIALIST (GCES)
- At least BSC/HND in engineering, engineering geology and COREN certification
- MSC in geotechnical engineering or geology or similar with at least 20 years post qualification experience
- Familiarity with and prove of service delivery on erosion, flood, ecological projects ADB and the World Bank is a must
NATURAL RESOURCES SPECIALIST (NRS)
- University degree in environmental management/natural resources management or related field, preferably at post graduate level
- At least BSC forestry, botany with MSC agronomy
- At least 20 years post qualification experience
- Familiarity with and prove of service delivery on erosion, flood, ecological projects ADB and the World Bank is a must
WATER RESOURCES/HYDROLOGY SPECIALIST (WRS)
- Degree in engineering or a degree in physical and mathematical sciences or in appropriate professional field eg physics, chemistry, computer science, mathematics, architecture, hydrology or geology
CLIMATE CHANGE SPECIALIST (CCS)
- First degree in the sciences or environmental/natural sciences and masters degree will be added advantage
- Knowledge and experience on like World Bank, ADB projects with ability to lead others o solve complex problems using technical knowledge and skills relating to clean energy, climate change adaptation and mitigation projects and adaptation measures
- Post qualification spanning over 20 years
SPECIAL INFORMATION
A team of mix of MDA secondments and the open market, depending on candidates’ meeting up with the requisite criteria. Applications from officers currently in service as Federal government employees from relevant line ministries are highly encouraged
