Job Title: Operations Analyst

Location: Various, Nigeria

Job Purpose
  • Interaction with internal departments - to track the actual status and escalate the issues requiring manager intervention
  • Coordinate a variety of complex executive meetings -manage and maintain executives schedules, appointments and other arrangements
  • Handle internal communication on behalf the department prepare and edit correspondence, communications, presentations and other documents
  • Project manage and drive initiatives within the department
  • File and retrieve documents and reference materials
  • Record, transcribe and distribute minutes of meetings
  • Receive and interact with incoming visitors
  • Daily and periodic tracking of issues in hand with inter departments
  • Responsible calendar management
Principal Accountabilities
1.) Data Capture
Activity areas will be on
  • Collation of data from MS partners and ISMs / other support service providers for the Analysis
  • Own and update the data base on sites passive and active components, In collaboration with others, develop and maintain databases and data systems necessary for operation / projects and department functions
  • Acquire and abstract primary or secondary data from existing internal or external data sources
  • In collaboration with others, develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality
  • Perform data entry, either manually or using scanning technology, when needed or required
  • Monitor for timely and accurate collection / development of select data elements
  • Own the data on key operating parameters
  • Keep updated information on passive infra swaps and replacement
2.) Data Analysis
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets for the trends and variations
  • Analyze reports of data duplicates or other errors to provide ongoing appropriate inter-departmental communication and monthly or daily data reports
  • Analysis and summarize the data for management reporting
  • Assist Partners with preparation of presentation materials
  • Perform basic statistical analyses of data
3.) Data Reporting
  • Compile and consolidate the presentation / dash boards / tracker. Publish these at prescribed schedule
  • Development and circulation of dashboards and trackers
  • In collaboration with others, interpret data and develop recommendations based on findings
  • Develop graphs, reports, and presentations of project results
  • Create and present quality dashboards
  • Generate routine and ad hoc reports
Educational Qualifications & Functional / Technical Skills
  • Bsc. Engineering or Sciences
  • 5+ years working experience (Three Year in Telecommunications Industry)
Personal Characteristics & Behaviours
  • Data mining skills and data management skills
  • Good understanding of the active components of BTS sites.
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent analytical skills and use of Microsoft office applications (excel, word, power point).
  • Demonstrated skills of co-ordination with multiple partners, vendors and stake holders.
  • Understanding of Telecommunications Business
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of GSM and Power Network
  • Good knowledge of telecom and power operations &
  • Strong Leadership ,communication and interpersonal skills
  • Works under limited supervision and takes initiative
  • Excellent issue tracking skills and result oriented
