JOB TITLE: Manager, Devices and Partnerships

LOCATION: Lagos, Nigeria
 
JOB PURPOSE:
To develop and execute Airtel’s device strategy through HBO marketing and Device portfolio management. Ensuring the availability of Airtel Nigeria’s offerings in the market and through Airtel Nigeria retail showrooms
 
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
EXPECTED END RESULTS MAJOR ACTIVITIES
1. Device Management:
  • Ensures timely collation and publishing of Devices and SIM product and services KPI reports on a daily, weekly, monthly, and annual basis.
 
2. Device Testing and Certification
  • Ensures thorough testing of all new devices for functionality and quality assurance. Issues Device Readiness and Go-Live Certificate for all ready-tobe-launched devices.
 
3. Project and Program Management: 
  • Responsible for Program Management for all  HBOs  projects as identified and approved in Airtel Nigeria’s Product and Service Roadmap. 
 
4. HBO partnerships
  • Responsible for signing up all category one device resellers all over the country. Will work with regional teams to achieve name manage such partnerships.
 
5. Financial Viability Analysis.
  • Responsible for preparation of financial business case for all HBOs, in order to ascertain the financial viability of all  HBOs, and to ensure that all launched HBOs meet Airtel Nigeria’s expected margins.
 
6. Product and Service Compliance: 
  • To ensure that launched HBOs (both  outright purchase and consignment) meet quality assurance standards of Airtel Nigeria, as well as revenue assurance standards.
 
7. Launch of New Products: 
  • Responsible for launch of HBOs and all device offers.
    • - OEM engagement
    • - Retailer engagement 
    • - Design and launch of all device propositions: Dongles,.Mifi, Routers, iPad, iPhones, Tables, ect
 
8. GTM Will ensure GTM includingGTM strategy
  • Driving Alternate channelDesign and execute marketing campaign
  • Measure the effectiveness of the HBO
  • Retail activation
  • Channel mobilisation for the GTM

Educational Qualifications
  • Bachelors in Marketing, Business Management, Engineering or Computer Science
  • Masters in Business Administration or Management will be an advantage
  • Project Management qualification will be an advantage
 
Relevant Experience 
  • 7+ years of Commercial/business management experience
  • 3+ years of Device experience
  • 4+ years of Channel Sales experience
  • 2 years in handling a product category
 
Personal Characteristics & Behaviours
  • Ability to innovate and deliver value to business at multiple levels will play an important role 
  • Ability to manage multi-functional teams
  • Ability to manage an outsourcing partner to deliver business solution
