OIL AND GAS INDUSTRY JOB OPPORTUNITIES ( 4 POSITIONS )


Our client is an indigenous company with significant interest in the Oil and Gas industry. As a result of its expansion and development programmes, they are seeking to engage experienced, intelligent and self-driven individuals.
All candidates must be good team players with strong interpersonal skills, career-oriented, able to work under pressure, ready to travel at short notice and be willing to relocate, if necessary.
Positions are available for the following qualified candidates:
SENIOR DRILLING ENGINEER
- Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering or any Engineering degree (minimum of second class upper degree). A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
- Minimum ten (10) years cognate experience and knowledge in well planning and design for drilling and work over operations (onshore and offshore/deep water environments) with adequate exposure to well site drilling operations
- Training and certification in IWCF /Well Control will be an added advantage
- Must be proficient in the use of applicable software
- Must not be over 35 years of age
SENIOR COMPLETIONS ENGINEER
- Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering or any Engineering degree (minimum of second class upper degree). A master’s degree will be an added advantage
- Minimum eight ( 8 ) years cognate experience and knowledge in well completions design and execution (onshore and offshore/deep water environments), using available technology tools
- Must be proficient in the use of applicable software
- Must not be over 35 years of age
DRILLING SUPERVISOR
Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering or any Engineering degree (minimum of second class upper degree). A Master’s degree will be an added advantage
Minimum fifteen (15) years experience in the oil industry and eight ( 8 ) years’ continuous experience in a Drilling Supervision position with a good Operator(s) track record
Cognate experience and knowledge of supervision of drilling and work over operations on land, swamp, shallow and deep water offshore environments, including supervising service providers, organizing and controlling logistics within the operating area, endorsing service tickets, monitoring well cost and submitting a daily work cost trail
Must have training and certification in IWCF/Well Control
Must be proficient in the use of applicable software
Must not be over 45 years of age
COST ACCOUNTANTS
Candidates will be responsible for estimating and managing well construction costs and producing easily understood daily/weekly/monthly reports
Minimum of ten (10) years post-ICAN Final Certificate experience
Minimum of ten (10) years relevant experience in a reputable audit firm or in the Finance department of oil companies
Must have cognate experience and sufficient knowledge in the following:
- Designing and maintaining accounting and budgetary control systems as well as statutory books of accounts
- Collating, processing and posting of all approved invoices, payment vouchers and transaction journals
- Preparation of Financial Statements and relevant schedules to Management Accounts
- Maintaining process flow of all financial instruments from the Corporate Head Office
- Preparation of periodic budgets of companies and monitoring the performance of budgets through variance reporting and certification of all vouchers for accounting entries
- Preparation of Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) documentation
- Hands-on experience in well costs
- Must be proficient in the use of accounting software
- Must be over 30 years of age
