Job Title: GM Data/VAS Marketing

Job Description
- Lead the formulation and execution of MTNN’s Value Added Service (VAS; i.e. BREW ,WAP & Data (SMS, MMS, GPRS & Internet services)) strategy development, implementation, monitoring and reporting
- Drive all aspects of VAS marketing strategy including promotions and communications
- Meet revenue targets for Contribution of VAS towards total company revenue penetration & usage of services
- Seek and identify new markets, conduct market analysis and report revenue generating opportunities based on competitive landscape and customer demands to Management
- Effectively use all available promotional tools to ensure the above work closely with the central team & vendors to localize products, content and promotion
- Co-ordinate with various internal departments technical VAS, Customer Service & IS/billing for a smooth & speedier deployment of services and regular operations
- Implement common national operations processes for speedier deployment of services
- Develop and implement VSA marketing plans, including making decisions on: Market strategy, Product (in conjunction with product development team), Pricing (in conjunction with business intelligence team), Advertising (in conjunction with Master brand), Sponsorship (in conjunction with master brand), and Promotions.
- Channel support / retail visibility (in store and out store (in conjunction with S&D)
- Lead the evaluation of 3rd party suppliers, vendors/ service providers and actively participate in business negotiations in the deployment of VAS products
- Establish the framework for managing cross functional issues in S&D, NWG, CR and IS
- Frequent international and national travel
- Long work hours Drivers License
- Modern working tools (including iPad etc)
- A first degree in in marketing or any other social science / science discipline
- A Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or any other relevant post graduate degree
- 15 years’ work experience which includes:
- 8 years experience at a managerial level
- 6 years marketing management experience in a telecommunications/ technology related environment,
- In-depth experience in product marketing of VAS offerings
- Strategic experience in collaborating with and influencing both internal and external stakeholders
- A good understanding of systems, networks and mobile telecoms and mobile applications
